Renault recalls 380,000 vehicles
Renault carmaker said it decided in October to recall over 300,000 vehicles in a preventive action to address problems with the power steering system.
The recall will involve Scenic models produced between January 2006 and March 2007 and Kangoo models manufactured between 2008 and January 15, 2009. So far, around 387,399 Renault cars have been recalled.
The models called for a “reprogramming of the board computer for steering”, due to an inadequate calibration. Repair works last around 30 minutes, and the costs are covered by the manufacturer.
Renault made the decision to recall vehicles in October and notified owners via couriers, the spokesperson of the carmaker added.
