World Bank names Francois Rantrua as country manager for Romania



World Bank has appointed Francois Rantrua as Country Manager for Romania within the vice presidency for Europe and Central Asia.
So far, Arntraud Hartmann has filled the country manager role. Francois Rantrua joined World Bank in 1997.

Rantrua graduated with an MBA from Harvard Business School and from Hautes Etudes Commerciales (Groupe HEC – ISA).

Over the years, Rantrua held various positions in the international institution, such as corporate head-strategist at Corporate Strategy Group with World Bank and country manager for Mauritania.

In October 2009, World Bank disbursed Romania the first loan for development policies of €300 million, in the account of Ministry of Finance.
