Blue Air adds new routes from March



Low-cost airline Blue Air will launch flights between Bucharest and Dublin and Bucharest and Florence. The new destinations will be included in the summer timetable (March 28 – October 30, 2010) for whicc tickets have already been put up for sale.
The flights to Ireland’s capital will be operated on Mondays and Fridays in March 28 – October 30, 2010 period and on Wednesdays during June 1 – October 30. The price of a ticket starts from €39.99/segment (all fees included).

The routes are perfect for a city break visit or a week-long vacation.

“The number of Romanians living in Ireland is as high as 40,000, this country being one of the first EU countries to open borders for Romanian citizens”, said Adrian Ionascu (photo), managing director Blue Air.

For Florence, Blue Air will operate daily flights from Monday to Friday, targeting Romanians working in Italy and tourists who want to visit the beautiful Italian city in a weekend mini-break.

The price of a two-way ticket starts from €39,99, all fees included. “Italy has always been a strategic destination for Blue Air. With the introduction of this route, we now operate flights to nine cities in Italy, thus consolidating Blue Air’s position in the Italian market. The flight that links Cyprus to Italy is expected to raise Blue Air’s market share in intra-European flights segment”, Ionascu added.

Blue Air has added to its summer timetable flights to southern Europe. For this summer, the carrier will fly from Bucharest to Florence and from Larnaca to Milan and will increase flight frequency for Bacau-Rome route. Ticket prices with all fees included start from €40/segment for Barcelona and Rome and from €50/segment for Lisbon.
