UPC appoints ex-Coca Cola exec as CCO



UPC Romania, the second largest cable company in Romania, has appointed Dragos Militaru as chief commercial officer, who held various management positions in Coca-Cola HBC and The Coca-Cola Company.

Dragos Militaru succeeds Raluca Milin, former marketing and sales director of UPC Romania who stepped down in September last year, after more than eight years to pursue personal interests in entrepreneurship. According to data on his LinkdIn profile, Militaru will now serve as Marketing and Sales Director, residential market in UPC.

Prior to joining UPC, Dragos Militaru served as Market Operations Director in The Coca Cola Company South East Europe. In his role, he was responsible for the launch of Burn and Cappy and for the integration of Dorna bottling water brand.

Militaru graduated from the University of Bucharest with a major in Electronics and Telecommunications in 1994.

At the end of September, UPC had revenues of €92.1 million and 1.23 million television subscribers, 256,400 internet subscribers and 144,500 fixed-line telecom subscribers.
