Radu Mihaileanu wins two Cesar awards



“The Concert” movie directed by Radu Mihaileanu won two awards at the 2010 Cesar awards ceremony held at the Chatelet Theater in Paris, France. “A prophet” dominated the event, and collected no less than nine awards.
The film directed by Radu Mihaileanu (France-Romania-Belgium-Italy) won the awards for The Best Music Written for a Film, and Best Sound.

The film tells the story of a 25-year old conductor of the Bolshoi orchestra, who was fired by the soviets for hiring Jewish musicians. He comes up with a surprising and audacious solution to perform again with his former musicians. The movie stars Valentin Teodosiu, Vlad Ivanov and Maria Dinulescu.
