Carpatcement gets 110,000 monthly grant from EU to boost Bicaz plant output
Carpatcement, the Romanian subsidiary of the German-based HeidelbergCement, received non-returnable grants of 6.3 million lei (€1.5 million) to boost cement production capacity at its manufacturing plant in Bicaz.
The amount is part of a broader assistance program of 16.5 million lei (€4 million) that will be implemented during March 3, 2010 – May 11, 2011 at Carpatcement Holding, Bicaz subsidiary – Tasca facility.
The project receives funding from European Regional Development Fund through the Operational Programme “Improvement of the Economic Competitiveness”.
Heidelberg holds three cement production units in Romania, in Bicaz, Fieni and Deva.
