ING promotes Emilia Bunea to regional role
ING Group, with banking and insurance operations in Romania, said it named Emilia Bunea, incumbent chief executive of ING Fond de Pensii, to regional role with effect from April 1. She will be succeeded by Marius Popescu, director of ING Investment Management.
Emilia Bunea (photo) will take up the role as chief financial officer at ING Insurances Central Europe.
Marius Popescu’s term as chief executive of ING Fond de Pensii is subject to approval by the Private Pension System Supervisory Commission (CSSPP).
“Promoting a member of ING Romania team to regional top management roles stands proof of Romanian specialists’ extensive expertise and their outstanding results in the local market”, said the chief executive of ING Life Insurances and chairman of ING Fond de Pensii board, Cornelia Coman.
Emilia Bunea (40) joined ING in September 2007 while Marius Popescu (35) in 2005.
