Fondul Proprietatea, likely to go public on the BSEs alternative trading

Fondul Proprietatea is likely to be prelisted at the Bucharest Stock Exchange’s alternative trading system. Mark Mobius, the chief executive of Franklin Templeton, the investment manager of Fondul Proprietatea equity assets, had agreed to this transfer, said Anca Dumitru, managing director of Bucharest Stock Exchange.
“The prelisting on the new market section of the alternative trading system will be made as soon as CAN gets RNSC approval”, said Dumitru.

She said that the tax levied on this market and consequently on trades with Fondul Proproietatea shares, will be 16% for holdings below one year and 1% for holdings longer than a year.
