BSE stocks extend losses



Stocks at the Bucharest Stock Exchange retreated for another day, led once again by financial investment companies that fell 0.90% in average.
The liquidity at the equity market rose markedly on Wednesday, despite stock’ retreat, to 35.05 million lei (€8.45 million), from 24.21 million lei (€5.82 million) yesterday.

BET index that gauges the performance of ten most actively traded stocks at BSE, gave up 0.24% and closed at 5,908.82 points, while composite BET-C finished down 0.18% to 3,556.19 points.

BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies (BSE:SIF) dropped 0.87% to 30,753.71 points, while Vienna’s ROTX edged down 0.28% to 12,056 .59 points.

BET-XT index of 25 most traded stocks decreased by 0.31% to 582.59 points, while BET-NG gauge of ten energy stocks shed 0.85% to 811.11 points.

FIC Oltenia (BSE:SIF5) have been the most traded stocks today, with 10.5 million lei total trade value, while stock prices closed 1.07% lower to 1.85 lei. FIC Banat-Crisana (BSE:SIF1) slumped 1.41% to 1.40 lei, and recorded a total trade value of 8.11 million lei.

In the banking sector, Banca Transilvania (BSE:TLV) closed flat at 2.25 lei, and recorded a total trade value of 1.05 million lei. However, BRD SocGen (BSE:BRD) climbed 0.66% to 15.30 at a trade value of 609,790 lei.

Oltchim (BSE:OLT) grabbed the spotlight today after soaring 12.81% to 0.3170 lei, after the Government, Ministry of Economy and the Authority for State Assets Recovery (AVAS) reaffirmed backing for the notifications submitted to European Commission on the investment blueprint of the fertilizer.
