Midday Forex: Leu retreats against euro
The National Bank of Romania set a reference rate of 4.1411 lei/euro, up 0.15% from yesterday, as the leu followed the regional trend after a mild growth at debut.
Yesterday the central bank set a reference rate of 4.1347 lei/euro.
After a mild growth in the morning, the leu fell steadily against its European counterpart, from 4.1330 lei/euro to 4.1430 units/euro.
For the US dollar, the National Bank of Romania set a reference rate of 3.1021 lei/dollar, up 0.79% from yesterday.
