BET-FI drops below 30,000 points mark



Stocks at the Bucharest Stock Exchange moved sideways today, as Greece debt fears fueled a new round of declines, with BET-FI index suffering the steepest fall, to below the 30,000 points mark.
Greek debt crisis fears have triggered a new wave of declines at the Bucharest Stock Exchange, the steepest drop being suffered by the financial investment companies sector, as BET-FI index slumped 3% to below the 30,000 points mark.

The total trade value at the equity market remained high today, at 34.76 million lei (€8.39 million), at narrow margin from 35.05 million lei (€8.45 million) yesterday.

813 state securities exchange hands today, that fetched around 9.27 million to BSE’s total liquidity.

BET index that gauges the performance of ten most actively traded stocks dropped 2.13% to 5,782.81 points, while composite BET-C shed 1.64% to 3,497.95 points.

BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies suffered the steepest fall, of 2.94% and closed at 29,831.78 points, while Vienna’s ROTX gave up 1.58% to 11,866.67 points.

BET-XT index of the 25 most traded stocks closed down 2.07% to 570.53 points, while BET-NG gauge of ten energy stocks lost 2.81% and finished at 788.34 points.

FIC Oltenia shares (BSE:SIF5) have been the most traded stocks today, with 12.78 million lei trade value, while stock prices declined 2.70% to 1.80 lei, while FIC Moldova (BSE:SIF2) dropped 2.14% to 1.37 lei, and total trade vale came in at 6.14 million lei.

In the banking sector, Banca Transilvania (BSE:TLV) gained 0.44% to 2.26 lei, while BRD SocGen (BSE:BRD) closed flat at 15.30 lei. Erste Bank (BSE:EBS) closed down 1.07% to 139 lei.
