FICs jump 3.5% in late trading



Stocks of financial investment companies at the Bucharest Stock Exchange, regained momentum today, after five straight days of decline, with the BET-FI index jumping 3.5% after Greece’s formal request for bailout from IMF and EU.
The total trade value at the equity market rose to 31.67 million lei, (€7.65 million), from 34.76 million lei (€8.39 million) Thursday. Trades with state securities generated a modest 947,077 lei.

BET index that gauges the performance of ten most actively traded stocks at BSE gained 1.60% to 5,875.48 points, while composite BET-C rose 1.17% to 3,538.79 points.

BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies climbed 3.52% to 30,881.84 points, while Vienna’s ROTX finished up 1.20% to 12,009.55 points.

BET-XT index of the 25 most traded stocks finished up 2.04% to 582.15 points, while BET-NG gauge of ten energy stocks moved 1.80% higher to 802.55 points.

FIC Oltenia stocks (BSE:SIF5) generated 10.83 million lei, while stock prices grew 3.89% to 1.87 lei. FIC Moldova (BSE:SIF2) increased by 2.19% to 1.40 lei, while total trade value stood at 7.76 million lei.

In the banking sector, BRD SocGen (BSE:BRD) and Banca Transilvania (BSE:TLV) closed flat at 15.30 lei and 2.26 lei respectively.
