Plus opens 100th store in Romania
Discount department store chain Plus said it would open on April 28 at Husi, its 100th store in Romania, which will represent a total investment of €1.5 million.
The new store in Husi will be located in the central area of the city and will have a gross area of 1,000 sqm and a total selling area of 800 sqm. The store will also have a 50-spaces parking.
Pludi Market, the operator of Plus store chain in Romania launched in November 2005, the first 10 Plus stores in the country, a network that is now present across 82 cities.
Pludi Market currently employs 2,102 persons in logistics, administration and sales, and the total investment in the logistic platform in Ploiesti tops €200 million.
German-based Tengelman said in February it would sell Plus store chain in Romania and Bulgaria to Lidl.
