Wolf Theiss advised BogArt on agreement with UniCredit Tiriac Bank

Wolf Theiss’ Bucharest office, through a team of lawyers led by Ciprian Goldeanu has advised the construction company Bog’Art in a rental agreement with UniCredit Tiriac Bank on the bank’s new headquarters.
Unicredit’s new head office with a total area of 15,000 sqm on 14 floors will be completed in the first half of 2012. The relocation will increase the bank’s operational efficiency at a central level.

“This was a complex deal that involved many issues due to the particularity of the tenant which will occupy the building. We are talking about a building which will be adapted to the bank’s needs – a real UniCredit Tower”, said Ciprian Goldeanu (photo), the leader of Wolf Theiss’ Real Estate & Renewable Energy Team Romania.

The Wolf Theiss performed the due diligence of the land where UniCredit’s headquarters will be built, and advised on negotiating the bank’s financing of the future office building.

On the lessee side, the law firm Bostina si Asociatii advised UniCredit Tiriac Bank in the negotiation process with Bog’Art.

“In spite of the ups and downs inherent in any transaction, we are proud of our achievement. All the credit goes to the Bog’Art team, who knew the business in every detail, and applied a fast and very effective decision-making process”, Glodeanu added.

The Wolf Theiss’ team led by Ciprian Gloeanu included: Iulia Bunescu and Dragos Iacob (real estate), and Claudia Arnautu (banking).
