IMF staff prolongs visit to Romania



The International Monetary Fund staff mission to Romania will be prolonged until May 9, the institution said.
“The fourth IMF review mission led by Jeffrey R. Franks, currently in Bucharest, will continue talks with Romanian authorities over the May 8-9 weekend. The mission will make public the conclusions of these talks at the end of the visit”, said Tonny Lybek, IMF representative for Romania and Bulgaria.

IMF mission is in Romania for the fourth review of the economic performance of the country, on which the disbursement of the €850-mln fifth tranche is contingent.
