Romtelecoms first-quarter revenues drop 3.3%
Romania’s largest fixed-line telecom carrier said its total revenues for the three months period ending March 31 dropped 3.3% year-on-year, from €201.4 million to €194.8 million.
Romtelecom’s operating profit came in 20.2% below year-ago level, to €59.3 million.
At the end of March, the carrier had 2,700,587 fixed-line subscribers, down 7.9% from the first quarter 2009.
The company’s DSL and mobile data subscribers increased by 18.5% to 830,633, while the number of TV subscribers (DTH and IPTV) rose 23.4% to 893,757.
