Transgazs Q1 profit rises 30%
Transgaz Medias (ticker: TGN) said its net profit rose 30% in the first quarter, to 189,213 million lei, and total revenues grew 12.1% year-on-year to 456.353 million lei.
The natural gas company profit in Jan-Mar 2009 period stood at 145.567 while total revenues at 406,996 million lei.
Expenditures in the three-month period through March dropped 2.1% year-on-year, to 229,332 million lei from 234,256 million lei in 2009.
The gas transportation company is held by the Ministry of Economy with 73.5% interest, Fondul Proprietatea with 15% and the remaining 11.5% are free-float.
Transgaz is listed at the first category of Bucharest Stock Exchange, under the ticker TGN.
