RWE Power launched cash call to hike capital



RWE Power Romania S.A subsidiary of Germany’s energy giant RWE said it raised its capital by €4 million (the equivalent of 16.5 million lei) to 22.38 million lei by launching a cash call on its shareholders, according to a notification published in the Official Gazette.
The new share capital is divided into 228,321,662 ordinary shares with a face value of 0.1 lei each. Compania RWE Beteiligung will issue and pay up the €4 million capital for the issuing of 165,588,000 new shares. The decision was approved in the General Shareholders’ Meeting on April 16.

The majority shareholder of the company is RWE Power Group AG. In Romania, RWE Power holds 9.15% interest in EnergoNuclear, the company responsible for the construction and operation of nuclear power plants units 3 and 4 in Cernavoda.
