OTP Bank Romania breaks even in Q1



OTP Bank Romania reported zero profit for the three-month period into March, versus the €2.46 million (725 million forints) loss in the same period of last year, and the €1.41 million (384 million forints) profit in the last quarter of 2009.
The bank’s operating profit grew from €5.3 million in Q1 2009 and dropped from €7.78 million in Q4 2009 to €6.78 million.

OTP Bank’s assets totaled €1.39 billion (371.2 billion forints) at the end of March 2010 versus €1.34 billion (416.541 billion forints) in the same period of last year.

OTP Bank Romania is the wholly-owned subsidiary of OTP Bank, the largest banking group in Hungary.
