Ministry of Development and Tourism to shed 158 jobs
The Minister of Regional Development and Tourism, Elena Udrea said around 158 jobs in the ministry will be axed this year, as part of a broader spending cut plan that includes another 37% reduction in goods and services budget.
“At this point there are job contests at the ministry. All the vacant positions will be filled after the contest”, said Elena Udrea.
Also, the minister added the institution has managed to cut back 50% on spending on cars, car park, fuel, cell phones, while goods and services spend was cut by 37%.
“The amounts saved will go to the county roads rehabilitation programs”, Elena Udrea added.
