Midday Forex: Leu gains modestly vs euro
The National Bank of Romania set a reference rate of 4.1838 lei against euro, down 0.27% from Friday when the central bank’s EUR/RON rate was 4.1950.
For the U.S dollar, the national bank set a reference rate of 3.4260 lei/dollar, up 2.12% from 3.3549 lei/dollar on Friday.
In the monetary market, short-term interests rose above the monetary policy rate of 6.25%.
