Interior design companies can apply to EU Gateway to enter Japan

EU Gateway programme launched in July 2008 carries on with the session of applications for interior design businesses who want to make a strong foothold in the Japan market.
The deadline for submitting applications is June 25, 2010 and the economic mission is scheduled for October 25-29, 2010.

Since the beginning of the program, in the 14 economic missions carried so far, 14 Romanian companies were selected.

Romania is on the second spot in the group it is part of, outranked only by Latvia.

Romania’s peers in the group are: Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Slovakia.

“Overall, Romania had a successful presence at the EU Gateway, but there is always room for better, as companies find out more about this initiative”, said Alexandru Bernea, Business Analyst at Deloitte Advisory, head of this stage of the program.

EU Gateway programme was initiated by European Commission and offers financial and logistic support to European Union companies who want to develop a strong foothold in the Japanese high-tech and design markets. Deloitte’s offices across European Union, Japan and South Korea offer assistance and training to interested companies, at every step of the way, from the application to the end of the economic mission.
