Mamaia sea resort goes 360 degrees
IPIX Romania together with the Mamaia Employers Association will jointly launch on June 3, 2010 the www.mamaia360.ro project, a world premiere in the online promotion of a tourist destination, with the help of IPIX immersive imaging technology which enables visitors take a virtual tour of the sea resort.
The www.mamaia360.ro represents the exclusively private investment of IPIX Romania. According to the company, the investment is at around €450,000 and will stretch on a three-year period (2007-2010).
It comprises 30 hotels in Mamaia sea resort where 27,154 images were captured.
The IPIX technology was originally designed in NASA laboratories, for military purposes. IPIX then entered the civil sector. Around 8.5 million IPIX images are viewed every day.
IPIX Romania is the fully-owned subsidiary of IPIX Corporation and provides online marketing solutions for hotels and real estate properties.
