Cosmote reports 30% growth in corporate customer base



Cosmote, the third largest telecom carrier in Romania posted a 30% year-on-year increase in the number of corporate customer base in the first quarter 2010, largely due to the expansion of its business services, the carrier said.
Cosmote’s customers are Alpha Bank, Altex Romania, ANCOM, Banca Romaneasca, Civitas PSG, Marfin Bank, Marfin Leasing Romania, Raiffeisen Bank and ZTE, among others.

“Expanding our business customer base remains a top priority for COSMOTE Romania. Having recently expanded our product offering with 3G services and after reshaping the Convergent packages jointly with Romtelecom we are now able to cover those needs even better” said Nikos Choumis, COSMOTE Romania Sales & Customer Care Director.

The mobile telecom company has updated together with Romtelecom the Convergent 1000 service pack and Unlimited, launched in 2008. Convergent 1000 has been specially designed to meet the needs of professionals and small and medium companies, while Convergent Limited service pack is designed to big companies with large voice traffic volume.

Cosmote’s product range also includes Cosmote Business and Cosmote Business Share packs that offer 5,000 free minutes in national networks and unlimited calls within group, depending on the service pack.

Recently the company has expanded its portfolio with 3G offer for business clients, that provides mobile internet at 21.6 Mbps speeds.

Cosmote reported revenues of €114.8 million in the first quarter 2010, up 13.3% from the same period of last year when the company reported revenues of €101.3 million.

At the end of March, Cosmote had 7.2 million users and 1.5 million subscribers.
