Carpatcement names two Germans as members of the board



Cement manufacturer Carpatcement Holding, the local subsidiary of the German-based HeidelbergCement named two new non-executive administrators in the board, according to data from the Official Gazette.
Wolfram Gaertner and Friedrich Rinne were replaced from their positions as non-executive administrators. Andreas Martin Kern, 52 and Klaus Alfred Schwind, 48 will succeed them for a four-year term.

Apart from the two, the company has one administrator also serving as Mihai Rohan, according to data from the Trade Registry.

Rohan’s term at the management of Carpatcement Holding will end on December 31. Rohan is one of the most experienced executives in the local market.

The company reported €230 million in 2009 and predicts a stagnation in 2010.

HeidelbergCement began operations in Romania in 1998, after the acquisition of cement plants in Fieni, Deva and Bicaz, and is active through Carpatcement Holding, Carpat Aggregates and Carpat Concrete.
