Former AIG Romania subleases office space in Victoria Center

General insurance company Chartis Romania, former AIG Romania, has subleased 350-sqm office space it occupied in Victoria Center, located on Calea Victoriei to Lina & Guia, lead adviser in the deal, Jones Lang LaSalle said.
“The premises (approximately half of the building’s ninth floor) were sublet to law firm Lina & Guia under a five-year contract signed with Chartis Romania, former AIG Romania. Contract terms are much more flexible than those agreed in the lease between Chartis and Bluehouse”, Jones Lang LaSalle consultants said.

Lina & Guia will thus occupy a 350sqm space of the total 700sqm let by Chartis. The general insurance company AIG Romania changed name into Chartis Romania earlier this year.

Victoria Center (photo) building was commissioned at the end of 2009 and is already occupied by companies such as Citibank, Ursus, Chartis, Eteba, Aon and Jones Lang LaSalle. The nine-storey building was developed by Bluehouse and has a gross surface of 8,350 sqm.

Jones Lang Lasalle is one of the largest real estate advisors in Romania, with a turnover of €2.8 million in 2008. The company operates in 60 countries and has over 180 offices.
