Lafarge invests 1 million in ash storage and rail unloading system



Lafarge Cement (Romania), the local subsidiary of the world’s largest cement manufacturer said it invested €1 million in a new ash storage and rail and truck unloading system.
The system has been installed in Energy Complex Craiova, Isalnita unit, on an existent ash silo. The silo has a total capacity of 210 tons of ash.

For starters, the ash will be used in the cement manufacturing operations at Medgidia.

Lafarge’s investment is part of a €90 million investment plan announced by the company for 2007-2011 period.
