Changes in Discovery Romania top management



Discovery Networks Central Europe (DNCE) has appointed Dorota Zurkowska-Bytner as country manager for Romania, and Andrei Grigorescu as ad sales director.
Dorota Zurkowska-Bytner (photo) will continue in her role as sales vice president at Discovery Networks Central Europe. It is the first time Discovery names a country manager for Romania, the Bucharest office being headed from Poland until now, under the supervision of Katarzynei Kieli, managing director for Central Europe.

“Romania is becoming an important market for us, as it is the second largest market in Central Europe, after Poland”, said Katarzyna Kieli, managing director of Discovery Networks Central Europe.

Andrei Grigorescu has a ten-year experience in advertising industry. Prior to joining Discovery, he served as managing director of PosterCom, the outdoor advertising arm of The Group, and as sales and development director of News Outdoor Group, the Out-of-Home division of The News Corporation.

DNCE’s programming team structure has also been modified. Ada Roseti, channel manager for Romania has been promoted to channel director role for Romania, Hungary, Czech Republic, and Slovakia. In the new position, she will be responsible for the activity of Discovery channels in all the four markets. Diana Tulbure, marketing manager for Romania has also been promoted to regional role.

There are 13 Discovery brands in Europe, Middle East and Africa, available for 230 million subscribers in 115 countries offering programs in 28 languages.
