Dafora to provide 16 mn drilling rig to OMV Petrom
Oil drilling company Dafora Medias (ticker:DAFR) announced the launch of a new drilling rig that will be employed in the drilling works at 3700 Moinesti, Bacau for OMV Petrom, the company said in a filing to Bucharest Stock Exchange.
The rig is manufactured in Germany and costs around €16 million. Unique in Romania, the rig is used to drill gas, oil and geothermal water wells at up to 6,000m depth.
The equipment complies with the most restrictive emission standards and obtained ATEX 95, CE 98/37/EC Annex IIA, API RP500 certifications.
The main objective of Dafora is to keep its leading position in the Romanian drilling market and to develop its business in the global drilling industry.
Dafora Medias (ticker: DAFR) said it expects a net profit of 12.33 million lei (€3 million), 8.5-fold above year-ago level.
