BET closes down 1.45%



Stocks at the Bucharest Stock Exchange posted loss in today’s trading, the most liquid stocks taking the brunt of the market decline.
The total trade value dropped to 26.32 million lei (€6.14 million). Euro futures contracts mature in September and December generated 10.88 million lei (€9.37 million).

BET index that gauges the performance of ten most liquid stocks dropped 1.45% to 4,818.09 points, while composite BET-C shed 1.23% to 2, 846.18 points.

index of the five financial investment companies finished down 1.26% to 20,262.34 points, while Vienna’s ROTX gave up 0.94% to 9,791.25 points.

BET-XT benchmark of the 25 most liquid stocks fell 1.36% to 438.66 points, while BET-NG benchmark of ten energy stocks lost 1.21% to 698.14 points.

SIF Oltenia (BSE:SIF5) attracted the biggest trade value today, of 10.15 million lei, while stock priced moved 1.61% lower to 1.22 lei. SIF Moldova (BSE:SIF2) closed down 0.53% to 0.945 lei, and recorded a total trade value of 3.64 million lei.

In the banking sector, BRD SocGen (BSE:BRD) slumped 2.73% to 10.7 lei, while Banca Transilvania (BSE:TLV) fell 1.41% to 1.4 lei.
