SIFs slump 5%



Stocks at the Bucharest Stock Exchange fell sharply today, the biggest decline being recorded by the five financial investment companies (BSE:SIF).
The total trade value at the equity market dropped slightly to 24.7 million lei (€5.67 million). Euro futures contracts generated 12.69 million lei.

BET index that gauges the performance of ten most actively traded stocks dropped 3.65% to 4,642.46 points, while composite BET-C fell 2.83% to 2,765.50 points.

BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies dropped 4.94% to 19,262.30 points, while Vienna’ ROTX fell 3.04% to 9,493.93 points.

BET-XT index of the 25 most liquid stocks declined 3.80% to 421.97 points, while BET-NG benchmark of ten energy stocks gave up 3.37% to 674.62 points.

BRD SocGen (BSE:BRD) attracted the biggest trade value of 6.79 million lei, while stock prices dropped 1.87% to 10.5 lei, while Banca Transilvania slumped 4.29% to 1.34 lei and recorded a total trade value of 1 million lei.

SIF Oltenia (BSE:SIF5)n fell 5.74% to 1.15 lei, while SIF Moldova decreased by 3.70% to 0.91 lei.

In the energy sector, OMV Petrom (BSE:SNP) shed 3.93% to 0.293 while Transgaz (BSE:TGN) suffered a decline of 3.11% to 215 lei.
