Jean-Michel Lespinasse has over 17 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry, most of it acquired during his time at Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) from 1996 to 2006.

Prior to joining A&D Pharma, Lespinasse had been COO of Delta Medical Russia, a provider of full range pharmaceutical promotional services in Ukraine and Russia, according to the company.

“A&D Pharma continues to focus its strategy on innovation and the swift capitalization of
opportunities presented by a growing and developing market place. The Group’s plan for international expansion is an important element of this strategy and the appointment of Mr. Lespinasse and his experience in Russia and CIS countries will enhance the Group’s sales & marketing activities across the CEE region.”

The Dutch-based pharmaceutical group announced earlier this year the resignation of Vivian Diaconescu as COO of its marketing and sales business line, but remained in the company as shareholder. Diaconescu spent 10 years in A&D Pharma, serving in 14 positions. The news on his resignation from the helm of the company’s marketing & sales line came in the context of a series of additional top management changes, such as the resignation of CEO Dragos Dinu in summer 2008 and of CFO Roger Bazelaire.

Later on, the founders of the company Walid Abboud, Ludovic Robert, Roger Akoury and Charles Michel Eid, have restructured the board of directors, by reducing the number of members to 6. The four founders have also decided to commit more time to the company, Walid Aboud taking up the role as chairman of Board of Directors, Ludovic Robert and Roger Akoury as non-executive directors and Charles Michel Eid as member of the board.
