This is the third plant the world’s largest soft-drink maker shuts down in Romania, after paring operations at its facilities in Bucharest and Oradea.

The producer is currently operating bottling plants in Timisoara, Ploiesti and Poiana Negri.

At the end of 2008, the company denied rumors that it was set to close plants in Iasi and Ploiesti.

In September 2008, Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company Romania decided to shut down plant in Oradea in an effort to improve production efficiency in Romania, adding it will focus on consolidating production capacity at its units in Timisoara, Ploiesti and Dorna.

The 102 workers will receive after the completion of the process a severance equivalent to seven salaries, under the provisions set forth by the collective agreement.
