The total trade value at the equity market rose to 65.4 million lei(€15.8 million).

BET index that gauges the performance of ten most actively traded stocks at BSE fell the most, by 5.26% to 5,131.72 points, while composite BET-C slumped 4.47% to 3,102.21 points.

BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies suffered a slighter decline of 3.04% to 26,841.73 points, after losing 5.03% Tuesday. Vienna’s ROTX plummeted 5.21% to 10, 701.26 points.

BET-XT index of the 25 most traded stocks gave up 4.37% to 507.18 points, while BET-NG gauge of ten energy stocks closed down 4.78% to 706.80 points.

SIF Oltenia shares (BSE:SIF5) have been the most traded stocks today, with a total trade value of 20.6 million lei, while stock prices moved 3.93% lower to 1.71%. SIF Moldova (BSE:SIF2) gave up 1.64% to 1.20 lei and recorded a total trade value of 8.8 million lei.

Banca Transilvania (BSE:TLV) suffered a sharp drop today, of 6.25% to 1.95 lei, and came out third in the most traded stock chart, with a total trade value of 5.4 million lei.

European stocks were hammered today by the debt crisis, that pushed London’s FTSE 100 down 1.28%, Germany’s DAX down 0.61%, and Paris’ CAC40 down 1.34%.
