Building materials manufacturer Baumit Romania, subsidiary of Austria-based Schmid Industrie Holding, has opened today the third largest dry-mortar factory in Romania, in Bolintin Deal, Giurgiu county.
The investment in the production unit stood at €20 million.
Baumit holds two other manufacturing facilities in Romania, in the outskirts of Bucharest, in Teius, Alba county.
The building materials supplier recorded revenues of €43.1 million in 2008, up 30% from a year earlier.
The largest building materials manufacturers in Romania are AdePlast and Henkel Romania.
