NBR yesterday posted an exchange rate of 4.1851 lei per euro, the lowest level since June 1.
The euro was traded for 4.20 lei this morning, soon fell to 4.1920, but recouped to early trades level in mid-session. At 1:15 p.m. banks were buying a euro with 4.1970 lei and selling it for 4.2060 lei.
In the region, the forint fell from 269.8 to 270.7 versus the euro at debut and then started to gain ground, while the zloty dropped from 4.2250 to 4.2430 per euro and strengthened to 4.2185 afterwards.
For the U.S. currency, NBR's exchange rate lowered 0.29 percent to 2.8619 lei per dollar, from 2.8701 in the previous session.
Midday Forex: Leu ends rally, dips 0.31pc vs euro
The official exchange rate set by the National Bank of Romania climbed 0.31 percent to 4.1981 lei against euro, following the leu's decline in mid-session, on a market with high volatility, unlinked to the general upward trend in the region, NewsIn informs.
