Although there are several scenarios for Romania’s exit from the economic crisis, restarting aid deal with the International Monetary Fund is the only solution at hand, said the senior economist of ING Bank Romania, Nicolae Alexandru Chidesciuc.
“Monitoring Romania is essential for putting in place some fiscal measures. Therefore, cutting public expenses is urgent, and an increase in taxes is inevitable”, said Nicolae Alexandru Chidesciuc at the annual conference of the Association of Financial Analysts in Romania.
Without IMF’s assistance, Romania wouldn’t have adopted the same fiscal correction measures. “The money from IMF is not that important, but the guarantee of implementation of certain policies”, Chidesciuc pointed out.
