Midday Forex: Leu loses ground

The National Bank of Romania set a reference rate of 4.0964 lei against euro today, 0.21% higher than Tuesday’s level. After a sharp weakening to 4.1018 against euro in the morning, the leu stabilized near 4.0960 at noon.

For the US dollar, the reference exchange rate set by the central bank is 2.9257 lei/dollar, down 0.25% from yesterday.
