The Finnish group joined the Romanian construction market in 2001, as importer of metal-based components. For the time being, the group’s activity in Romania is divided in three branches: Ruukki Construction, Ruukki Metals and Ruukki Production.
Ruuki Romania’s main competitors are Lindab, ArcelorMittal Construction, Megaprofil and Teraplast.

Ruukki Construction Romania, fully-owned subsidiary of the Finnish-based supplier of metal-based components Rautaruukki, appointed Marian Pirvu, former chief executive of ArcelorMittal Construction (AMC) Romania as vicepresident.
