Liberty Global, the parent company of UPC Romania, said the 2009 revenues of its local cable television provider, dropped to €123.4 million from €144.8 million at the end of 2008.
In the last quarter of 2009, the company’s turnover stood at €31.3 million, at approximately the third quarter level (€31.1 million).
At the end of 2009, UPC had 837,600 analog TV cable subscribers, 231,000 subscribers to digital cable, 181,000 to DTH satellite, 25,000 to digital video recorder and 7,000 to high-definition television.
As for the broadband internet services, the operator had 267,400 subscribers, and 150,700 to fixed telephony.
