FIC sector at the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE:SIF) fell 0.6%, as the market slumped 1.7% in a liquidity buoyed by deals with Banca Transilvania shares and state securities.
The liquidity of the Bucharest Stock Exchange increased Monday to 33.87 million lei (€8.05 million), from Friday’s 20.10 million lei (€4.76 million). Even though regular market transactions have been pretty modest, the liquidity has been lifted by the special deals with Banca Transilvania, FIC Transilvania and Condmag shares.

In a special 10.16 million lei deal, some 14.22 million FIC Transilvania shares changed hands today, namely 1.3% of the share capital. Another 4.10% shares of Banca Transilvania changed hands in a 10.45 million lei deal.

Transactions with fixed-instruments at Bucharest Stock Exchange totaled 36.44 million lei (€14.29 million), in a flurry of state securities deals.

BET index that gauges the performance of the ten most liquid stocks at the BSE finished down 1.44% to 4,751.78 points, while the composite BET-C fell 1.69% to 2,737.77.

BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies (BSE:SIF) closed 0.62% lower to 24,078.42 points, while Vienna Stock Exchange’s ROTX dropped 1.94% to 9,770.41 points.

BET-XT index that measures the performance of the 25 most liquid shares closed 1.51% lower to 466.81 points and BET-NG of the energy companies listed at BSE fell modestly 0.07% to 597.99 points, supported by the sharp increase of Rompetrol Rafinare shares (BSE:RRC).

Rompetrol Rafinare shares has led the most traded stock chart today, with shares worth 1.27 million lei changing hands, pushing prices up 4.96% to 0.0635lei. On the other hand, Petrom SNP shed 3.47% to 0.25lei in a liquidity of 736,849 lei.

In the financial investment sector, transactions with FIC Oltenia (BSE:SIF5) totaled 1.22 million lei, while shares fell 0.78% to 1.28 lei. FIC Moldova (BSE:SIF3) dropped 0.87% to 1.41 lei in a liquidity of 1.04 million lei.

In the financial sector, Banca Transilvania (BSE:TLV) shares dropped 2.24% to 2.18 lei, in a liquidity of 819,340 lei. BRD SocGen fell 3.62% to 13.30 lei, as liquidity stood at 978,245lei.
