The National Bank of Romania set a reference rate of 4.1397 lei/euro today, down 0.10% from yesterday, the leu following its peers’ downtrend versus the European currency.
Yesterday, the central bank set a reference rate of 4.1355 lei/euro.
The leu moved sideways in the morning near 4.14 units versus euro, and at 13:05 banks were buying a euro for 4.1365 lei and selling it for 4.1415 lei.
In the region, the Polish zloty and the Hungarian forint had a steeper downtrend versus euro today.
For the US dollar, the National Bank of Romania set a reference rate of 3.0598 lei/dollar, up 0.96% from yesterday.
