Friesland Campina names new chief executive

FrieslandCampina Romania appointed Peter Snautzer as chief executive of the company. He will succeed Ian Gearing who left his post in April.

Ian Gearing served as chief executive for five years at Friesland Foods Malaysia and for other five years in Friesland Thailand.

The new CEO will be based in Cluj-Napoca at the head office of the company, and will report to Konstantine Maggioros country director FrieslandCampina for Hungary and Romania.

With over 14 year-experience in the dairy industry, Peter Snautzer (photo) joined Friesland Campina in 2006. For two years, he served as Milli Business Unit director and sales director at FrieslandCampina Hungary. In 2008, after company-wide reorganization, he was named consumer marketing & new business director in FrieslandCampina Hungary.

Prior to joining Friesland, Snautzer worked as commercial and marketing director at Parmalat and at Biscuit Division Danone Hungary.

Peter Snautzer studied Business Administration in Budapest. In 2008 he graduated from INSEAD International Executive Program in Fontainbleau.
