The Bucharest stock market had its sixth straight winning day, closing up 2%, as financial investment companies caught investors’ interest once again and closed up 2.22%, in line with other stock markets in the region.
The trading value at the Bucharest Stock Exchange remained high Wednesday of 41.49 million lei (€10.27 million).
BET index that gauges the performance of ten most actively traded stocks at BSE moved 1.92% higher to 5,882.44 points, while composite BET-C climbed 2.04% to 3,399.71 points.
BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies jumped 2.22% today, to 32,082.67 points, while Vienna’s ROTX gained 2.11% to 11,759.17 points.
BET-XT index of 25 most traded stocks rose 2.02% to 583.10 points, while BET-NG of ten energy stocks closed up 1.73% to 781.31 points.
European stock markets were skyrocketing to two-months high at BSE’s closing, led by banking sector, in light of Federal Reserve’s decision to pare interest rates to 0%.
At the London Stock Exchange, FTSE index of the leading 100 companies was increasing by 0.48% to 5,647.68 points, while Germany’s DAX was moving 0.80% higher to 6,018.90 points. France’s CAC40 was inching up 0.44% to 3,956.30 points.
FIC Oltenia (BSE:SIF5) have been the most traded stocks today, with a total trading value of 7.94 million lei, while stock prices climbed 2.89% to 1.78 lei. FIC Moldova (BSE:SIF2) rose 2.03% to 1.51lei.
BRD SocGen (BSE:BRD) rose 2.61% to 15.70 lei. Erste bank (BSE:EBS) jumped 3.02% to 126.40 lei, as transactions totaled 3.45 million lei.
