Pandi will succeed Shahmir Khaliq, who was named head of the division formed of Bulgaria Czech, Romania and Slovakia and chief executive of Citibank Czech.

, 41, has over 15-year experience in the banking industry. Prior to the appointment, he headed Citibank operations in Central European countries where Citibank doesn’t have a local presence.

In his new role, Tibor Pandi will drive Citi’s efforts to continue to meet customers’ needs by developing a portfolio of complex and innovative banking products for all market segments. Pandi will also be responsible for the connection between Citibank Romania and Citigroup’s global network.

Citi is present in Romania as of 1996 and provides banking services and products to national and overseas small and mid-size businesses, public sector, non-profit organizations and natural persons.
