Purtatul măștilor, chiar și ale celor confecționate în casă, reduce semnificativ riscul contaminării cu viruși transmiși pe cale aeriană, precum noul coronavirus (COVID-19). În cazul în care aveți prieteni sau cunoștinte care contestă acest lucru și cer dovezi în acest sens, în materialul de mai jos veți găsi o listă cu 70 de studii care demnostrează eficiența măștilor, 31 dintre ele fiind realizate chiar în 2020.

Valul de știri false și mesaje care pun sub semnul întrebării chiar și existența noului coronavirus s-au intensificat în ultima perioadă, în numeroase țări, inclusiv România, existând proteste de stradă ale unor persoane care susțin că totul este o conspirație, iar recomandări ale guvernelor precum cele ce țin de purtatul măștii și distanțare socială ar fi inutile.
