Tarom said the flight schedule disruption was caused by the flight ban imposed by the national and international air traffic control due to the volcanic ash from the erupted Eyjafjallajokull volcano in Iceland.

The carrier canceled Bucharest-Timisoara, Bucharest-Paris-Bucharest, Bucharest-Lyon-Bucharest, Bucharest-Lyon-Bucharest, and Bucharest-Munich-Bucharest flights.

The airline said passengers affected by the disruption are eligible for refunds or rebooking for a future date.

Tarom flight to Madrid has a time of departure of 16:05, but could be modified depending on how long it would take to obtain all the flight approvals.

The airline stressed that according to the decisions made by the national and international air traffic authorities on flight ban, the flight schedule shouldn’t suffer additional changes.
