Radacini Motors delivers in September the new Cadillac SRX in Romania

“The new SRX is announced to be launched in Romania in September 2009, but only 3.0 liters V6 on gasoline trim level. In early 2010, the dealer plans to include the 2.8 liters version in the offer”, said Catalin Bratu, CEO Cadillac, Corvette and Hummer at Radacini Motors.

The second generation of the compact SRX SUV borrows many of its design cues from Provoq concept car. The model comes with 2.8-liter turbocharged V6 that delivers 300 HP as well as 260 HP 3.0 liters version.

Both models are endowed with XWD four-wheel drive borrowed from Saab and six-speed automatic transmission.

SRX also comes with electronic control via ABS, driver and passenger front and side airbag together with front and rear side curtain airbag, audio system with hard-disk, 3D navigational system , adjustable headlights and air conditioning.

In the series version, the model is equipped with 18-inch allow wheels as standard with 20-inch wheels offered as an alternative.

The SRX will be built at the plan in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico, the production being scheduled to start in mid 2009. The model has 4.83 meters in length, 1,91m in width and 1.67m in height.

The company will also deliver this year the new Cadillac Escalade Hybrid at 70,000 euros without VAT.

Radacini Motors started to distribute the three premium brands of General Motors since October 2007.

The communication and marketing department at Cadillac, Corvette and Hummer are headed byGeneral Motors South East Europe, which is also the importer of Opel and Chevrolet in Romania.

In Romania, GM has a fully-owned General Motors Southeast Europe subsidiary since 1997.

GM’s dealer network for Chevrolet and Opel includes 35 units at this moment. Most of the distributors are dual-brand, selling both Opel and Chevrolet
