Ministry of Finance is currently handling talks with the potential administrators of Fondul Proprietatea, due to be appointed within a month, said Bogdan Dragoi, state secretary of the ministry.
“This week we will hold talks with the five remaining contenders, of which we will select two-three. After a brief review, we will disclose the new administrators of Fondul Proprietatea”, Dragoi continued.
International companies, such as Aviva, Erste, ING Investment Management or Morgan Stanley have entered the race for the Fondul Proprietatea chair.
Last week, shareholders of Fondul Proprietatea reshuffled the structure of the supervisory council, with only one member remaining in office, chairman of the Authority for State Asset Recovery, Mircea Ursache.
The new members of the supervisory council are Corin Trandafir, Mircea Ursache, Gratiela Iordache, Anca Oprea, Ioan Adam, Eduard Boian and Ene Dinga.
