The new Mazda 3 sedan comes with a selection of two petrol powertrains, 1.6 liter 105HP and 2.0 liter 150 HP, and two diesel engines, that develop up to 109 HP and 150HP, in addition to the sports five-door variant available in both diesel (185HP) and petrol (260 HP).

The 185HP diesel version comes at a price of 25,190 euros (VAT included), while the petrol 260 HP is priced at 28,290 (VAT included).

The new Mazda3 generation, known in Japan as Axela is fully redesigned for the first time in five years, and embodies Mazda’s Zoom-Zoom spirit.

The flagship of the new Mazda 3 lineup, Mazda 3 MPS that gives sports-minded customers a double dose of Zoom Zoom driving fun, comes with a MZR 2.3 DISI turbocharged engine on petrol.

The new model looks more “sporty” than its predecessor and ensures decent fuel economy. Mazda 3 accounts for nearly a third of Mazda's cars sold annually across the globe.

Mazda’s objective for 2009 is a 1.5% market share in Romania for import cars, equivalent to a 0.3% increase year-on-year.

In 2008, Mazda sold 2,537 cars in Romania, up 147% from 1,028 a year earlier.
